Blue Marlin Ibiza
On my recent trip to Ibiza I visited Blue Marlin which was a little bit of heaven. If you are ever heading to Ibiza, Blue Marlin is simply a MUST on your to do list. Blue Marlin is billed as a lifestyle concept with its own magazine and radio station as well as gorgeous venues in both Ibiza and The United Arab Emirates.
This beautiful beach side venue is open from 10:00am until 4:00am during season and attracts a roster of top international DJ's. Reservations have to be made in advance. I booked a sun lounger for €65 which included €50 redeemable against the bar. If you are travelling in a group you might want to upgrade to the deluxe loungers which are about the size of a king size bed. Or if you're feeling really flush, book the VIP!
Cocktails are priced at around €15 and are totally worth it. They look beautiful, taste amazing and are seriously strong!
Blue Marlin is perfect for sunbathing through the day and partying through the night. I am definitely going back next time.

Holiday Snaps
I've just returned from a lovely break in Ibiza so thought I would share a few snaps. I hadn't had a holiday in over a year and I definitely won't be leaving it so long next time. There are lots of ways to do Ibiza. It's a great destination for all night partying but there is a real mix bag of people on the Island at this time of year. I stayed in San Antonio, and as well as the hard core clubbers, I spotted young couples, families with young children and older couples enjoying a break. I mixed it up with a few nights of partying and LOTS of sunbathing. I have really caught the sun and will need to buy a darker foundation to get me through the next few weeks while my tan fades - like I need another excuse to go shopping!

Packing for holiday
For me personally, holiday mode starts with shopping and packing. My regular readers will know that I started my holiday shopping months ago, but it's the shopping for miniatures that really gets me excited. I don't know what it is about mini bottles of beauty products that makes me so excited, they just do!
My fabulous friend bought me the pink travel wallet as a birthday present a few years back and I just can't go on holiday without it. It's just perfect for holding onto passport, boarding pass and currency. If you don't have one already, get one!
My luggage is ALWAYS overweight so this time I am trying to lighten the load by rationing, and thinking realistically about what I am going to wear/use whilst I'm away. I think I've done quite well on the make up front and only packed the bare essentials.
Two more sleeps and then it's Ibiza here we come. Can't wait!!!

European Hair Products for Afro Hair
Ever since having my hair relaxed for the first time at the grand old age of 11, I have always been advised to use products designed specifically for relaxed hair. There are hundreds of blogs and websites dedicated to looking after relaxed hair and the advice seems to be varied, although moisturising and good hydration are recurring themes. With this in mind, I decided to take the plunge and for the first time ever, try a product designed for European hair. I had heard good things about Herbal Essences Good Hydration so gave this a go.
Herbal Essences - Hello Hydration - Shampoo
The bottle is actually transparent. The shampoo itself is a bright bubble gum blue colour and has a sweet bubble gum smell. It foams quite easily but doesn't really de-tangle. After rinsing, the hair just kind of congeals so you need to use the conditioner straight away.
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner
This conditioner is an absolute beauty. As soon as you rinse the hair takes on a complete different quality. Soft, silky, smooth. You really don't need much at all and I found that two rounds of conditioning and rinse was enough. The smell is similar to the shampoo but a bit lighter. As a conditioner I thought it was better than some afro hair products that I have used in the past. I will be buying this again.

August Beauty Empties
These are all of the hair and beauty products I have used up this month...
Profectiy Mega Growth Stimulating Shampoo
Body Shop Dewberry Mure Savage Bath and Shower Gel
Superdrug Nail Polish Remover
Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax Shower Gel
Garnier Pure Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash
Garnier Intensive Seven Days Replenishing Lotion in Mango Oil
Sleek Blusher in Pomegranate
The stand out beauty product has to be Garnier Pure Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash. I have noticed that after using it for a few weeks, my face feels less oily and I have definitely had less spots. This one is a winner that I have already re-purchased.
